Every June, one of our favorite community traditions returns to Littleton, Colorado. This year marked an incredible milestone as the Fire Muster celebrated its 40th anniversary, bringing together thousands of families, firefighters, emergency responders, local businesses, and community organizations for a day dedicated to education, safety, and fun. Held in partnership with South Metro Fire Rescue and Arapahoe Community College, the event has become one of the premier family events in the Denver metro area.
Just as firefighters teach families how to prevent emergencies before they happen, we believe learning to swim is one of the most important ways parents can prepare children for water emergencies. Fire safety and water safety share the same goal: preventing emergencies through education, preparation, and confidence. That’s why participating in this Littleton tradition is such a natural fit for our team.
What Is the Mile High Hook & Ladder Fire Muster?

The day begins with a spectacular Fire Truck Parade through Historic Downtown Littleton, where antique fire engines and modern emergency apparatus make their way down Main Street before gathering at Arapahoe Community College for the main event. Once the parade concludes, the Fire Muster officially begins with interactive exhibits, demonstrations, emergency response vehicles, and activities designed for visitors of all ages.
Throughout the event, families have the opportunity to:

- Meet firefighters and first responders
- Watch exciting emergency response demonstrations
